So Happy Together - MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge #325

March 22, 2017

I'm back to share a card with you I made for this weeks MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge (WSC325).

The Happy Together stamp set is perfect for this weeks sketch! :D
I die cut a panel using the Inside & Out Stitched Rounded Square STAX Die-namics and drew the grassy field with Copic Markers and pink & aqua gel pens. Then I made the cloudy sky background using the Stitched Cloud Edges Die-namics and Berrylicious Premium Dye Ink.

I stamped and colored the PI girl, cut it out with the matching die. The circular speech bubble was die cut with the Birthday Speech Bubbles Die-namics and I sponged it with Pink Lemonade and Bubblegum Premium Dye Inks using the die as a mask to left a white edge. I white embossed another sentiment on a piece of Orange Fizz CS, cut it out with a die from the Blueprints 27 Die-namics, and added two enamel dots beside the sentiment. The background paper is from the Gingham Galore Paper Pack.

MFT March Card Kit Release

The new MFT Card Kit, Doodled Blooms is available for purchase in the MFT store now!!

I'm sharing a bright card and a coordinated envelope that I made using the kit for more inspiration for you.

(NOTE: The products written in boldface are included in the kit.)
First I stamped a Red Hot card base with the Circle Scribbles Background using Versa Mark ink, it might be hard to see in the photo above though. I die cut a hexagon panel from Smooth White CS, then stamped and colored a stem & leaves image from the Doodled Blooms stamp set onto it. I stamped and colored the flower on X-Press It Blending Card, cut it out with the matching die, and popped it up with foam tape.

I curved the sentiment, which is from the More Essential Sentiments stamp set, when I stamped it to add a little movement to the layout. The "SMILE" was cut with the Words for Friends Die-namics, and I added two fishtail panels cut with the Blueprints 20 and Blueprints 31 Die-namics.

For my coordinated envelope, I white embossed the flowers on both of the front and back side and accented some parts of the petals using a Versa Marker and a white gel pen.

MFT March Card Kit Countdown Day 2

March 21, 2017

Welcome to Day 2 of the MFT March Card Kit Countdown! The new Doodled Blooms Card Kit will be available for purchase tonight at 9:00 pm EDT!!

(NOTE : The products written in boldface are included in the kit.)
To create my card for today, I stamped the stems and leaves from the Doodled Blooms stamp set onto a panel of Smooth White CS cut with the Blueprints 14 Die-namics, and colored them with Copic Markers. The flowers were stamped onto X-Press It Blending Card, Colored with Copic Maekers, and cut out with the matching dies. I popped up a few of them with foam tape as you see in the photo below.

The hill panel was cut from Sour Apple CS using the Blueprints 14 Die-namics and the Stitched Scallop Basic Edges Die-namics, and I added some white spots using a white gel pen

The Interactive Rectangle Word Windows Die-namics included in the kit adds a little surprise to your card! :)
I cut an interactive window with the Interactive Rectangle Word Windows Die-namics and stamped the words "HEY, YOU!" onto the flap. After I stamped the words "YOU MAKE ME HAPPY" onto the Smooth White panel, I adhered the hill panel and added a couple of birds from the Purr-fect Friends stamp set. These birds and the funky flowers go well together!

Make sure you stop by the MFT blog to see the full reveal of the Doodled Blooms Card Kit and for more inspiration from the DT.
