Flip-Flop Halloween Tags - MFT Release Replay

August 15, 2017

Today the MFT DT is taking a fresh look at our most recent release with inspiring ideas and innovative takes on the complete collection. We love the opportunity to look at our products with fresh eyes, envisioning entirely new ways to showcase the possibilities they present!

I have a set of three Halloween tags to share with you that I made using the Fab-BOO-lous Friends stamp set & Die-namics.

Do you think these look too simple? Actually these are interactive tags that move as you see in the animated GIF below.

Isn't it a good idea to add more fun to your Halloween treat bags? :)

Well... I'm extremely nervous today because I'm sharing my FIRST how-to video. PLEASE note that this is my first try to make a tutorial video and I apologize for the bad quality. There is no narration because my English speaking skill is awfully bad, I just added a few captions though. (I know some of you don't like this type of videos.) I will greatly appreciate it if you could take a little time to leave a comment or you gave me some advice on how to improve my video.

Wishing You a Magical Day - MFT WSC 345

August 9, 2017

A new sketch challenge (WSC 345) is up on the MFT Challenge & Inspiration blog!

I decided to play with the Magical Day stamp set that was just released last night. The smaller image in the set was perfect for the circle element in the sketch. :D

My circular frame was cut out of Silver Sparkle Card Stock with the Stitched Circle Scallop Frames Die-namics. I layered three frames for a little thickness.

The sentiment was heat embossed with silver embossing powder. As you see in the photo above, I scored four lines using my Scor-Buddy and Teflon Bone Folder since the black panel looked too plain. These lines made a big difference! I also added silver stars here and there to embellish the card.

Head on over to the MFT Challenge & Inspiration blog for the challenge details and for more inspiration from the DT. Hope you'll play along with us this week!

You're Fab-BOO-lous! - MFT August New Product Launch

It's time to shop, everyone! MFT August Release is live now!

I'd like to share two more cards using my new stamp set & Die-namics, Fab-BOO-lous Friends.
My first card is a spinner card. The costumed ghosts have come together and a ghost is floating in the spooky sky...

To create my background, I blended Seedless Preserves and Victorian Velvet Distress Inks on watercolor paper, spattered it with some white ink, and cut it with a stitched rectangle die from the Blueprints 13 Die-namics
I made my slide & spinning mechanism using the Downhill Slope Die-namics and a Spin & Slide Disk.

The second one is a card I made for this month's Release Class.

You can see the tutorial on how to make this card in a downloadable PDF for free that is available HERE, or watch the tutorial video where Stephanie recreates this card on the MFT YouTube Channel. I've shared a few tips on the masking technique this time. ;)

MFT August Release Countdown Day 1

August 8, 2017

It's final day of the MFT August Release Countdown. The new products that we have been showcasing this past five days will be available for purchase at 9:00 pm EDT TONIGHT!!

My card for today uses the new Big Birthday Wishes stamp set, which was part of the Sending Birthday Wishes Card Kit released in June, the In Bloom stamp set & Die-namics, and the Fab Foliage Die-namics, along with the Split Chevron Cover-Up Die-namics.

To create the background panel, I spattered a piece of Smooth White CS with some Blue Yonder and Orange Fizz Premium Dye inks  and cut it with the Split Chevron Cover-Up Die-namics. I layered two more die-cut Cover-Ups under the spattered one, then embedded the cut out pieces.

I added more details to the stamped flowers and the die-cut leaves with my Copic Markers and a white gel pen. The ink colors I used for the flowers are listed at the bottom of this post.

MFT August Release Countdown Day 2

August 7, 2017

It's Day 2 of the MFT August Release Countdown. We're so close to the release day! All the new products will be available for purchase tomorrow at 9:00 pm EDT!!

I have a fun interactive card to share with you today. It features the More Monsters stamp set & Die-namics and the Stitched Collage Frame Die-namics.

The More Monsters stamp set is a companion set to the Monster Love stamp set that was released last year. I love these adorable monsters so much! :D I combined them with the new Stitched Collage Frame Die-namics and inlaid colorful piece of polka dot patterned paper from the Party Patterns Paper Pack to each cell.

For the two monsters in the upper cells, I added Action Mini Wobble Springs to the back side so they wobble. The other monsters were adhered with Thin 3D Foam Squares.

MFT August Release Countdown Day 3

August 6, 2017

Welcome to Day 3 of the MFT August Release Countdown!
Today I'm showcasing the new stamp set from Pure Innocence line, A Phone Call Away.

I thought that the Words for Friends Die-namics would match well with this stamp set.
I loosely stenciled the Moroccan Lattice with Periwinkle and Summer Splash Premium Dye inks for my background. I then added a couple of fishtail banners, die cut "FRIEND", and the PI girl image which I colored with Copic Markers.

I stamped the "Hello" onto a speech bubble. It was cut with the Essential Speech Bubbles Die-namics, which is this month's Free with $60 Die-namics, and I shortened it. I LOVE this Die-namics!! I had been wanting speech bubble dies to stamp sentiments since the Smart Phone Die-namics was retired last year. I'm sure it will be my "go to" Die-namics!

Make sure that all the new products will be available for purchase on Tuesday, August 8 at 9:00 pm EDT.

MFT August Release Countdown Day 4

August 5, 2017

Welcome to Day 4 of the MFT August Release Countdown! Today I'm introducing my new stamp set & Die-namics, Fab-BOO-lous Friends!

Let's have a frightfully fun Halloween party with cute ghosts! These little ghosts decided to dress up as popular Halloween characters - vampire, Jack-O'-lantern, mummy, witch, bat, black cat, and Frankenstein. :D
Making tags or decorating your treat bags with these little ghosts must be so fun!

I'd like to share two cards with you using this set.
For my first card, the ghost characters have lined up to say Halloween greetings.
It's simple and easy to create. I stamped, colored, and die cut the ghost characters, and adhered to a rounded rectangle panel cut with a die from the Blueprints 31 Die-namics. The sentiment was white embossed on a Boysenberry panel cut with the Stitched Fishtail Sentiment Strips Die-namics.

My second card is an interactive card. As I mentioned above, the ghosts work well with the Stitched Interactive Window Trio Die-namics.

I die cut a Limelight panel using the Blueprints 13 Die-namics and stamped it with the Triple Stripe Background using Limelight Premium Dye ink. I also stamped the stars randomly to add more texture.
I die cut the windows, added the sentiment panel, and stamped the spider. The spider's thread was drawn with a black Copic Multi Liner. I used the Stitched Alphabet Die-namics to cut out the "BOO".

When the windows are opened, two ghosts and a mummy ghost appear. :)

The tiny hearts were die cut with the Tag Builder Blueprints 5 Die-namics.

Make sure that all the new products will be available for purchase on August 8 at 9:00 pm EDT.

MFT August Release Countdown Day 5

August 4, 2017

The MFT August Release Countdown has begun! We have a lot of fabulous new products to showcase for next five days. Make sure you stop by the MFT blog everyday to see the full reveals of the new products, and don't forget to leave a comment there for your chance to win a prize!

My card for today features the Flamazing Stamp Set & Die-namics.

I kept my card simple. I cut a panel out of watercolor paper and made a loose watercolor background using Mermaid Lagoon Distress Ink and a paintbrush.  I stamped & die cut the flamingo and the flowers from the Flamazing stamp set, and die cut the leaves with the new Fab Foliage Die-namics (It will be revealed on the MFT blog tomorrow.). I added a little details to the leaves with my Copic Markers. I popped up the flamingo with foam tape after assembling the flowers and leaves.
The sentiment was gold embossed on a Black Licorice panel cut with a die from the Blueprints 28 Die-namics. Several sequins were added to finish off the card.

I just want to mention that the Flamazing stamp set contains a lot of accessory images for creating a scene, I only used a few of the flowers on my card though. You should see the full reveal of the set on the MFT blog!

The new products will be released on Tuesday, August 8 at 9:00 pm EDT.

I Spot a Great Friend - MFT WSC 343

July 26, 2017

It's time for a new sketch challenge over at the MFT Challenge & Inspiration blog (WSC 343)!

I used an adorable leopard image from the Lovable Leopards stamp set for my focal point. I framed him with a Single Stitch Line Oval Frame and added two birds instead of the tiny circle elements in the sketch.
I chose dotty patterned paper from the Painted Prints Smitten Paper Pack for my background panel since I thought it would go well with the leopard theme and the sentiment. :)

MFT July Card Kit Release

It's time to shop! MFT July Card Kit, All Smiles is available for purchase now!

I have one more card to share with you that I made using the kit.

For this card I was inspired by THIS photo of beautiful decorated cookies I found on Pinterest.
I white embossed the Lace Background on Blue Breeze CS to create my background panel. It was trimmed and matted with a Blue Yonder panel and adhered to the card base.

I first stamped the flowers with Peach Bellini ink, then overlaid a little Coral Crush ink only to the center of the flowers using my Mini MISTI. After I stamped the leaves with Blueberry ink, I cut them out with the matching dies and added some details with a white gel pen.
I die cut the "Smile" three times from Safety Orange CS and glued them together for thickness.

Head on over to the MFT blog for more inspiration from the fabulous DT. Don't forget to leave a comment on each of their blogs for your chance to win a prize! :)
